Portovenere Channel is situated between the historical town of Portovenere and Palmaria Island and it is part of the Marine Protected Area of "Cinque Terre". The whole area was declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1997. The seafloor's natural features and pipelines can be seen via 2D and 3D views.
As the winning entry, ITS Ammiraglio MAGNAGHI, Italian Navy, will be receiving a DJI Phantom 3 drone. Based on voting results, eleven additional images were chosen as runner-up to the grand prize winner and will be included in the Teledyne CARIS 2017 Digital Calendar. Each month on www.teledynecaris.com, we will be posting one of the twelve images (in no particular order), for download to your desktop in a calendar format.
